- Low-temperature toughness, small notch sensitivity
- After the steel quenching tempering at low temperature or high-temperature tempering has good comprehensive mechanical properties, good low-temperature toughness of steel, the notch sensitivity, and machinability is good, when the hardness is HB260 ~ 320 ~ 70 in addition, the relative cutting processability was 60% steel annealing at low hardness, plasticity is good.
- Therefore, either by adopting the method of machining manufacturing mold, Cold extrusion molding can also be used to manufacture molds. In order to improve the wear resistance of the mold cavity, the mold needs to be carburized after forming, and then quenching and low-temperature tempering.
- So as to ensure that the surface of the mold has high hardness, high wear resistance, and the core has good toughness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing large and medium-sized plastic mold. However, the steel tends to temper brittleness and form white spots.
