Heat treatment of 1.2721 Cold work tool steel

  • Annealing: Annealing temperature/℃: 610~650; After the annealing, degree of hardness ≤HBS: 250
  • Quenching: Hardening temperature/℃:840~870, Quenching in oil or air
  • Tempering: Commonly used drawing temperature/℃: 160~300;  After tempering hardness HRC | 100 ℃ : 59; After tempering hardness HRC | 200 ℃ : 56; After tempering hardness HRC | 300 ℃ : 52; After tempering hardness HRC | 400 ℃ : 48
