32CrMoV12-10 alloy tool steel is one of chromium hot-work tool steel that exhibits excellent resistance to softening at elevated temperatures.
32crmov12-10 Steel is capable of being heat treated to a higher hardness than the tungsten hot work steels, and in addition, offers greater toughness. It has good thermal fatigue characteristics, and unlike tungsten hot work steels and 32crmov12-10 steel may be safely water-cooled in service.

Mechanical Properties
Soft Annealing
Heat to approx. 720oC, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 224.
Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 850-890oC followed by oil quenching.
Tempering
Tempering temperature: 620-640oC.
Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1100-850oC.
Processing
32CrMoV12-10 steel round bar and flat sections can be cut to your required sizes. The ground bar can also be supplied, providing a high-quality tool steel precision ground tool steel bar to your required tolerances. 32CrMoV12-10 steel is also available as Ground Flat Stock / Gauge Plate, in standard and nonstandard sizes.
